About Us
Fostering a digital environment for equitable healthcare across MSF.
Since 2010, Telemedicine has been empowering MSF healthcare professionals with digital services that remove geographic barriers on access to quality care. Designed for all MSF projects, our services connect a global network of clinical specialists through secure communication channels.
Where We Work
MSF projects across 56 countries have access to Telemedicine services.
Our Story
Where it all begins
The Telemedicine journey begins when various MSF members and medical experts come together to develop the first MSF telemedicine platform as a pilot project.
MSF Canada adopts the program
Seeking an MSF entity to manage the Telemedicine program, the medical directors across MSF initiate a selection process to find the best fit. MSF Canada is selected.
Getting closer to our users
The first Regional Implementation Officer (RIO) is hired to onboard users in the Middle East and North Africa region. The RIO for the West and Central Africa region follows shortly after.
Introducing new services
The Telemedicine program portfolio expands to include two new services: secure messaging and clinical case discussions.
Strengthening our foundations
An extensive review of the program structure is initiated to support the ambitious vision of the Telemedicine program and realign strategies.
Preparing to innovate and scale
With the new program structure in place, the team is set up with the expertise to develop more user-oriented solutions and increase usage of services globally.
